The new structure I designed for packages of Reese’s Cups started with a personal problem - I devour them mercilessly. However, demanding quantity out of a package is no reason to be altering the iconic look of the Reese’s brand so radically, especially considering the increased production cost. The metal canister would provide increased protection for the candy, it allows for the larger quantity to be saved for consumption at a later date, and it would set the package apart from other candies stored in a more traditional way. The product remains recognizable from a distance due to the orange, yellow, and brown that have been associated with Reese’s since their beginning.
